By sequentially adding line segments to a line or disks to a surface at random positions without overlaps, we obtain configurations of the one- and two-dimensional random sequential adsorption (RSA) problem. We have simulated the one- and two-dimensional problem with periodic boundary condition. The one-dimensional simulations are compared with the exact analytical solutions to give an estimate of the accuracy of the simulation. In two dimensions the geometrical properties of the RSA configuration are discussed and in addition known results of the RSA process are reproduced. Various statistical distributions of the Voronoi-Dirichlet (VD) network corresponding to the RSA disk configuration are analyzed. In order to characterize pores in the RSA configuration, we introduce circular holes. There is a direct correspondence between vertices of the VD network and these holes, and also between direct/indirect geometrical neighbors and these holes. The hole size distribution is found to be a parabola. We also find general relations that connect the asymptotic behavior of the surface coverage, the correlation function, and the hole size distribution. 相似文献

This paper investigates the transverse and planar vibration characteristics of two-layered piezoceramic disks for traction-free boundary conditions by theoretical analysis, finite element numerical calculation, and experimental measurements. Amplitude-fluctuation electronic speckle pattern interferometry (AF-ESPI), laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV), and impedance analysis were used to perform measurements and verify the theoretical solutions for extensional, tangential, and transverse vibrations. The poling direction of piezoelectric elements determines whether they are denoted as either of series- or parallel-type. This study observed that the resonant frequencies and mode shapes of the series- and parallel-type piezoceramic disks present different dynamic characteristics in resonance. Planar and transverse vibrations are coupled in series-type piezoceramic disks and uncoupled in those of parallel-type. Good agreements of dynamic characteristics determined by theoretical analysis, experimental measurements, and numerical calculation are presented for series- and parallel-type piezoceramic disks. 相似文献

The analytical conditions for resonant and stationary waves inrotating disks are presented. These conditions are derived from anonlinear plate theory pertaining to initial configurations and areapplicable to rotating disks with initial waviness and/or undergoinglarge-amplitude displacements. The rotational speeds at which theresonant and stationary waves occur for a 3.5-inch diameter computermemory disk are computed. The resonant waves for linear and nonlinear,rotating disks are simulated numerically. It is found that some diskmodes exhibit a hardening effect under which the rotational speeds forthe resonant and stationary waves increase with increasing waveamplitude, while other modes experience a softening effect with thoserotational speeds decreasing with increasing wave amplitude. Summary A simple and rapid procedure based on solid phase disk extraction (SPDE), adsorption chromatography on acidified silica gel
and GC-MS analysis was developed for the determination of 8 organochlorine pesticides and 19 PCB congeners in human milk.
By using the SPDE procedure, a high throughput and parallel sample processing could be achieved. Method variables were optimized
on whole cow's milk (3.5% fat) fortified at levels close to concentrations found in human milk. Recoveries of target analytes
were acceptable and ranged from 69 to 102% and 86 to 120% for whole and skimmed milk, respectively. By the use of two stage
clean-up and narrow bore capillary columns, detection limits as low as 20 pg mL−1 could be obtained. The method was used for the determination of organochlorine pollutants in human milk from 19 individuals
from Romania. The concentrations of PCBs were low, whereas those of organochlorine pesticides were higher than the values
